DUQUESNE SOUNDWALK

SoundWalks are guided tours that encourage participants to interpret their environment, culture, and history through sound.  Our SoundWalk on Duquesne campus was created by students in the advanced musicianship course Music and Soundscape in the Mary Pappert School of Music.  The SoundWalk features fifteen exhibits, or SoundSites, that can be experienced in any order.  Each one reflects the interests of its designer – for instance: one offers a sonic snapshot of Duquesne history, another examines the musicianship of bird calls heard on campus, while yet another analyzes the sound profile of sporting events on Rooney field.  Experience the SoundWalk with walking shoes and a smart device.
